Langtang Village Trek
Langtang Village lies north of Kathmandu, offers massive amount of trekking destination that is accessible without flights. It is a narrow valley inhabited by Tamangs whose daily practices is similar to Tibetan. Visiting to the Langtang village provide a unique opportunity to explore villages, cultural life styles, to climb small peaks and to visit glacier of the low elevation. The language, culture and the traditional customs of Sherpa from this region is very different than the Sherpa from Solukhumbu region (Everest region).
After 117km drive to Dhunche treks starts towards Syabru crossing over the Trishuli River. Following to the ascending and descending different places on the trail, we reach to
the Langtang Vilage. Next day we hike Langsisha Ri to the North of Kyanjin Gompa that present a spectacular view of Langtang Lirung. Then we descend to Ghora Tabela and Syabru Besi to drive to Kathmandu. This treks offer the magnificent view of Langtang Lirung (7246m.), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Naya Kangari (5846m.), Dorje Lakpa (6966m) etc.
Trek itinerary:
Day1: Arrive Kathmandu and transfers to Hotel
Day2: Sightseeing day in Kathmandu includes Hindu temple Pashupatinath
(A UNESCO world heritage site), a Monkey temple Swoyambhunath
Kathmandu Durbar Square or Patan
Day3: Drive, Kathmandu / Syabru Besi (1450m)
Day4: Syabru Bensi / Lama Hotel (2480m)
Day5: Lama Hotel / Ghora tabela (2950m)
Day6: Ghora tabela/ Langtang valley (3541m)
Day7: Langtang valley / Kyangjin Gompa (3900m)
Day8: Acclimatization day in Kyangjing Gompa
Day9: Kyangjin Gompa / Yala Base Camp (5033 m.) /Camping
Day10: Summit and back to Kyangjin Gompa
Day11: Kyangjin Gompa / Ghora tabela
Day12: Ghora Tabela / Syabru Besi
Day13: Syabru Besi / Kathmandu
Day14: Free- day in Kathmandu
Day15: Departure from Kathmandu
